The Pasadena Police Activities League is an important cornerstone of the Pasadena community, providing a safe and enriching environment for Pasadena youth after school and during the summer. Working closely with the Salvation Army, the program offers mentoring and activities including sports, robotics, educational programs and field trips to the many cultural centers Pasadena has to offer. At this point in time PAL has served over 3,000 youth in the Pasadena area and has helped increase GPA 42% through it’s mentoring program.
Every year PAL has an award ceremony, auction and dinner and every year a member of the Pasadena community is honored with an PAL award in recognition for the important work they do for Pasadena youth. We were delighted to learn that this year’s recipients of the award are NOOR’s owners Robert and Maggie Shahnazarian, pictured above in the Sofia bar with their son Dvean.
We would like to thank PAL for this wonderful honor and for recognizing our very own Robert and Maggie! We would also like to thank Pasadena Now for their wonderful article about Robert and Maggie, NOOR and the PAL organization.
